Therapy for Individuals

Adults and Teens (ages 14+)

  • We all go through times when we feel lost, alone and stuck. Depression, lack of motivation, anxiety and rigid beliefs about ourselves can prevent us from living the life we want. If you seek support with a recent life transition or want to process through grief or trauma exposure in the context of a safe and therapeutic relationship - we can discover new perspectives and clarity together.

  • Individual therapy provides a safe and non-threatening space for you to explore and process emotions, thoughts, and memories. Through guided self-reflection, you can gain a deeper understanding of yourself, your patterns, and the root causes of your challenges. This journey of self-discovery can lead to increased self-awareness, improved emotional regulation, and enhanced coping strategies. As you gain insight into your inner world, you will hopefully experience a sense of relief, empowerment, and a renewed outlook on life.

  • I value a client-centered approach which means we work on themes you want to process during our time together. I will honor and hold space for your unique life experiences and respect the expertise you bring to your story. I work towards aligning you with your authentic self by helping you tap into existing strengths and inherent wisdom, develop insight into the obstacles appearing in your way, and identify new solutions towards change. I am here to support and facilitate growth in the areas you feel stuck and overwhelmed, whether individually or interpersonally. In my practice, I meet you where you are with empathy and non-judgmental curiosity.

  • When working with individual clients, I use an integrative style combining social constructionist therapies including Narrative and Solution-Focused. As a creative person myself, I often incorporate expressive art exercises to encourage new perspectives and connection with the intuitive self. I use a systems approach as I help you develop awareness of your social positioning.

  • In my practice, I welcome all human beings. I value a baseline of cultural humility in all aspects of counseling and will continuously strive towards uncovering any personal biases or ethnocentric world views by seeking out educational, consultative, and training experiences. I am not the expert on your life though I may invite you to explore how systems of power, privilege, and oppression influence your presenting concerns.
